I used to work for Sutton Ford. You are coached to sell vehicles for the maximum amount. They used to have a gimmick called Auto Guard which was only a hot wax applied to the vehicle which we were instructed to push on new car buyers for as much as $4,000 guaranteeing it would protect against acid rain, increase trade in value up to 25%...etc., Yes they are crooks even the sales staff steal customers from one another and the telephone girls give leads to what ever salesman is paying them the highest price, they treat you as if it is slave labor averaging 50 + hrs. a week for a $100.00 salary which is taken back if you drive a demo.,they doctor the books to make seem they pay more for a vehicle once it is sold as to give that salesperson a lower amount of commission on sale, my worst job experience ever, and to think the Owner is a devout Christian? Hmmmm.

This Dealership Has a Racist as their GM. We recognized him from a previous dealership.... We will not be doing business with the Suttons They don't do research to see who they have representing them... Cars sell themselves id rather not be bothered with a racist swindler. its a shame to know this GM is working there. Obviously the wool has been pulled over thew owners eyes and he is being taken to the bank by his management team which are all very incompentent and rude.

Sutton Ford - Oil Change Review from Frankfort, Illinois

Sutton Ford - Oil Change Review from Frankfort, Illinois
I had a very bad ordeal with sutton. Back in June of 2014 I went to sutton to get a simple oil change, I was traveling to Kentucky for a little league World Series qualifying tournament. It was a Friday and we were due to leave at 9:00 pm that night. I went to sutton at 2:00 in the afternoon for the service. To make a long story short, one of the porters crashed my truck into another customers car. Sutton would not give me a loaner from their lot they rented me a smaller vehicle from enterprise rental. The only problem was the truck was an escape I drive and explorer. My truck seats 7. The escape seats 5. I told the service manager about my situation and I needed to have the same amount of seats because I was transporting my little league team to Kentucky for the tournament and he suggested the I sit the two kids in the back trunk area. Needless to say I told him that I would not put someone else's child let along mine in what is virtually a trunk due to not having seat belts and no seats. He did not have a solution to my problem that they created. So I had to cancel the trip I loss the tournament money and a lot of pissed off parents that were looking forward to the trip. I was called the next day at about 3 in the afternoon with a solution they rented me a 8 passenger Chevy suburban that the service girl did not want to give me. I say that because went I got there the truck was sitting in the garage. And I told her that this is the truck that your boss informed me that I was getting and she said no it is not. I stood next to the truck as she walked around the whole lot pushing the lock button on the keys. To find what that she thought that I deserved or was getting. It was to late for the tournament weekend lost. But the nightmare was not over sutton kept my truck for two weeks after telling me I would have my truck back by that Wednesday. They didn't get serious until I got the police involved. With all the trouble and inconvenience that I was put through sutton ford fixed the front quarter panel that they destroyed. And cut me a 150 dollar check. And tried to send me on my way. They have lost a customer and I will tell every one about how wrong I was treated when I was a customer of theirs. They such smug people as if the whole situation was my fault. Not one time did anyone say sorry for the inconvenience or the wasting of my time no compensation they truly do not care about their customers they can take it or leave it when it comes to caring about customer service. Thank you for reading about my experience. Stay away from sutton they suck.

Sutton Ford - Protection Program Review from Valparaiso, Indiana
We purchased a car here about 1 month ago. The dealership was nice enough to throw in their auto butler for free!!! We have the contract saying we were charged $0.00 for auto butler. After reviewing the loan we noticed that they snuck in a $1,000.00 charge into the loan for...you guessed it! AUTO BUTLER! After notifying the dealership we were transfered to Christian and he promised us a FULL refund. We have since been to the dealership twice and wasted time and gas to pick up our refund check, only to be told that no one was there to sign the check, or that the check wasn't ready. We have made several calls and were promised return calls that were never returned. Horrible customer service. It has been 3 weeks since we contacted the dealership and were promised a refund check only to get the run around. Horrible customer service! Today after calling again, we were told we would only be refunded part of the cost for the "free" auto butler that we were promised. We have contacted the BBB and surprisingly, we are only 1 of 11 complaints filed with this dealership. We now have to spend extra time and money contacting a lawyer and filing a claim against this dealership in order to get our money back for something we were never supposed to be charged for.

HORRIBLE!!!!

Run fast, and go elsewhere!! I am not one to blog or write reviews, but I felt compelled too, after my experience with this dealership. Please read and consider going elsewhere. I had an issue where Sutton Ford fraudulently ran my credit, not once, but twice in two days. I went to the dealership as to inquire why they ran it without my permission. They had stated I applied on line with a 3rd party which they buy leads from. I Informed them I did no such thing, as I am currently applying for a mortgage. FRANK the "sales manger" stood up to me and tried to intimidate me, he stated " that unless I am conducting business, I need to leave." I then informed "I will be contacting the BBB & FTC," he then said "go ahead I don't care" There was no sympathy or accountability. No willingness to look into the issue, and definitely no willingness to resolve it. With that, just imagine if you have an issue with a purchase there. I called and placed a complaint with the Ford corporate offices, and they were more helpful. In short, I guess I was looking for a business to stand up and do the right thing when someone has such an issue, and just remove the inquires from my credit report. If this is the level of service that I received when fraud occured, I can only imagine how they treat their customers. You've been warned, this is not a stand up dealership at all. Please do not do business with Frank, he will try to intimidate you, till he gets his way. Go to another dealership.. So many more reputable Ford dealerships around.

Worst Dealer I ever dealt with!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!! We bought a mini van from this dealer back in 3/2011. It was late at night when we finally took the van home and noticed there was a message of all wheel drive disabled. Immediately the next morning we called the dealer to get this taken care of and were told to wait till the warranty kicks in and they will cover the co-pay (we were never told we had a copay). My husband being nice waited and called back once the warranty kicked in and left a message for the man we were working with. Well, we would call and everyone would avoid us and never call us back! My husband then brought the van in so nobody can avoid us! They told is they have a new manager and they have to have approval before they will take care of us. Once again said Manager was not in and will call us back. Well needless to say once again we left several messages and nobody would get back to us. Finally almost a year later we were told they will look at the van since the alternator was now bad. We brought the van in and they REFUSE to fix the all wheel drive!!! We also had to pay this co-pay that we were never made aware of! This dealership has to be the worst I have ever dealt with!! They supposedly fixed the alternator yet we are still having electrical problems and they want us to pay the $100 again for the same problem! I told the dealer when we brought the van back in January if the problem wasn't resolved I would be contacting BBB. The sales man said to contact the "manager" well it has been 6 months and once again nobody wants to return our calls and the service department will not fix the problem that should have been fixed in January!

Be Ready for Nasty Surprises

I drove 500 miles to this dealership to buy a used car, which according to the online description, has everything I was looking for. So, I rented a car and showed up after the sales person assured me that everything listed on their website was OK. When I got there, the car had a 2" diameter hole on the rear seat which was conveniently not photographed, nor disclosed prior to my arrival. The car also didn't have onstar, nor bluetooth, nor XM radio; nor any of the other small items included in what it's called "Convenience package". What's worse, I still wanted to buy the car, so I called an upholstery shop to quote a repair of the rear seat, but they would only give me the great discount of ... $100. I mean, they weren't even willing to help at all. They just didn't care about me as a customer.

Never Ever Deal With These Liars

I purchased a 2005 mustang from Sutton back in August 2010. I had the car for 2.5 weeks. I received a call from the service department saying they had a warranty "part" for the Mustang and please bring it in so they can work on it. I brought it in, then the Finance manager who was extremely rude and a$$holish. He told me he can't get me financed and they took the car back. My issue isn't with the financing, but it was how they lied to get me there, let me keep the car for two weeks and then was rude and obnoxious after kissing my butt when I bought it. I spoke with the GM as well as the owner. I told them, I will make sure everyone knows about the experience but they didn't seem to care. I don't like the way they do business. I don't believe that it takes 2 weeks to find financing. I wouldn't recommend my dog to take a dump on their property and definitely not anyone to purchase anything from them!!

Stay Away from these Crooks! Terrible Experience.

We bought a car advertised as accident free. Once we agreed on the price, they bring in the paperwork to sign, which lists a "Vin Etch" for $200. I wasn't interested in this so I told them to take it off. They said it had to be there and was on all there cars because the finance companies the use require it...what BS! Once I got that off there, the finance guy tried slipping in an extended warranty. Just before I signed the paperwork I noticed "ESP" on the contract for $2000! When I questioned it, he said it was a mistake that the computer put in there. Yeah, ok whatever...***. So we finally escape with the car and over the next few days we notice a few squeaks and rattles. So I took it to a collision center when we find out it's been in an accident and needs over $1000 in work! So I took the car over to the dealership and explain the situation and ask them to buy the car back since it was advertised as being accident free. The guy in the sales tower starts laughing and says there's no way they are buying it back. Now I'm really ticked! So after some heated words, they offer to put us in another car. The cars they showed us were worth a few thousand dollars less than the one we have. Then they show us cars worth the same as ours, but tell us they will cost $3-4k more. All of them had "issues". Then they tell us they could take the car back from us, but they could only give us black book value and we'd have to pay the $3000 difference in cash to them. Then they say we can walk away if we sign over our $7k car to them. When that fails, they tell us we can trade the car in on a minivan which turns out to be $8k over book value. What a freaking joke. These guys are so slimy, stay away from Sutton Ford at all costs. These guys epitomize "used car salesman". We're handing the case over to the Attorney Generals office.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE/GREAT PEOPLE

Hello All, I wanted to say that my overall experience with Sutton Ford was probably the best I ever experienced for one reason only. INTEGRITY!!!! Andre Green bases his professionalism on it. I currently live in Texas, I saw the car I wanted for a long time on their internet site for a great price. I spoke to Andre aka DRE SMOOTH (I gave him that nickname, when you meet him you will know why, gets his wardrobe from Steve Harvey's closet...lol) But in all seriousness they are very professional. When I told Andre that I wanted this car and was willing to do whatever to get it he made sure that this car was mine. He knew my level of dedication as a customer and I could see his from a salesman perspective. I told him that I was going to fly up and drive the car back. Even though the company puts all their vehicles new and used through an inspection before they sale he made sure that the vehicle was tight and ready to hit the road. He put it back in service for them to look at one last time. The car did great on the road, it was a 1650 mile trip and not one problem I also like the fact that everyone all the way up to Pam, the GM will answer your questions or call back when they have the time. Even though money may talk, communication speaks volumes. The staff at Sutton Ford overall possess a natural attitude to help and want to please the customers. I know that other customers have shed another type of light on their experiences here but I am here to tell you these people are professional and caring I would definitely recommend Sutton Ford to anyone. Their team is knowledgable and understanding. I love the fact that there are Black porfessionals at a Black establishment that can show the same level service if not higher as your typical dealerships. So thank you Andre, Pam and definitely Keisha for all your help. Sutton Ford keep up the good work. Let everyone see the new level of professional, competitive service you now bring to the table. Sutton Ford is unethical and the worst dealership I have ever dealt with

After searching for a used Jeep Cherokee for a week online we finally found one on Cars.com. We called about it and Jordanna quoted us a price and said the car was in impeccable condition. We were excited that we finally found the one we wanted. We asked her to run our credit and make sure we were approved before driving over an hour to get there. She said the Jeep was being detailed, our credit was run and even told us what bank approved us. We told here we were on our way in with our two young kids to purchase the car. Upon arriving we discovered Jordanna had gone home and that she wasn't even a salesperson. Another salesman offered to help us and tried to locate the Jeep only to find it was being sold to someone else at the dealer next door in the large auto mall. We couldn't even believe this was happening. We thought we were definitely on candid camera. After complaining to the manager who really could care less he went over to the other dealer and brought the Jeep over. The car was in terrible condition. Scratches everywhere, the speaker cover broken, spilled coffee stains on the carpet. We told him this was not how Jordanna portrayed the car and we were not buying it. My husband went in to ask the manager about the fact that she already ran our credit only to be told that, that never took place. So she flat out lied about running our credit, that we were approved and even told us the name of a bank. Completely unethical practices at this dealer. Don't ever set foot in this dealer!
